This is Bruce Cruz and I wanted to let you know that this is part two of my summer trip into Washington, and I hope you enjoy hearing about my travels. After my northbound train trip on the Amtrak Coast Starlight , the next morning I woke up after a great night in a very old hotel. It reminded me of old detective movies where you had the , the desk right by the window. Instead, there was a bed, wonderful place, cup had some coffee , a bagel, and uh , cream cheese . Then I walked about a mile and a half or so down to below Landers Street off of fourth , where there is a tiny budget Renta car and picked up A3 Chevy Malibu. And that was what I got drive for the next , uh, 10 days . My daughter and I turned it in on Saturday , try and get to the upper the ships , dock through ships , but decided no , I wanted to turn around and go back to Iver's , acres of clams to enjoy a meal at a place that I gone with my family many times . So I went and found a parking spot right across the way because earlier with the construction that's going on the summer of 23 along the dock way , uh, it was incredibly difficult to find a place to park. So I had to use the public . Went to Ivers , did little recording there . Enjoyed a great acres of clams meal. It was delicious. Even had to order some extra bread to sum up the juices . Went over after that, got in my car and went to get in line to take the Bainbridge ferry , which you can drive on , and waited a little while, less than a half hour . Had my camera ready and I'll also present a video on what it takes to drive on ferry boat . That'll be a a lot of fun. Gotta Bainbridge Island stopped along the way at a Starbucks and had not only a coffee, but also gotta listen in on a Bruce tips tv. Patreon get together. Spent an hour listening there. Then I went couple blocks away in Paul's boat and met our travel consultant for Holland America Line Mitch Henderson. And we had dinner. I gave him one of my , uh, Bruce Cruz off to the rails glass and he said , I'm gonna drink beer outta this . And I was very happy . We had a great dinner and wonderful restaurant . And then I drove the last of the , probably 70 miles into western Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. Got into the place that I was staying and opened it up and made sure that the hot water was on the water, was going into the house , made sure all the electricity was ready , started my stay, and it was wonderful to be in the house . Again , just being able to sit and reflect and think about my life and things that I wanna change . Reasons why I wanna live long , would include spending good years with my wife , good health. I'm really excited about the hikes that I took during the time up there. I actually went kayaking. I had thought I was , uh, above the weight limit, but my daughter read closely and I was under the weight limit of 2 75 . So I went and tried to paddle about a mile. And , uh, when you don't have a good core and cannot really sit up straight, its somewhat terrible. I was glad to actually outta the boat and walk again was just wonderful . My daughter and I also had other , uh, adventures. Uh , had a great time just being able to sit around and , and meals. We had bought , uh, uh, supplies at the Walmart Superstore in sbo. We gotta watch sunsets and listen to the bird. We took a a walk, she and I , wonderful time . Then we had to get up at about three o'clock in the morning. I had a wonderful dream before we started out . My wonderful dream was one of a charmed life like Harry Potter. Having had the , the , I was feeling like I could do no wrong and was just feeling really good about the , and about the time . And then , uh, woke up about 10 before the alarm was gonna go off at three o'clock . Then proceeded to finish packing and covering up the stuff at the house there. Then we started the drive and we got SeaTac for my daughter's eight O'clockish , uh, flight at six o'clock . She was very happy cause it was only four days and the weekend after the 4th of July and there was a 80 minute wait at , uh, tsa. So I dropped her off. I went to the cell phone parking lot again . They have porta potties, they have trash . I away our trash . We porta potty . Then I drove to , I was gonna turn the car in and I gas it up and then drove back and then waited till they opened up at about eight . Turned the in , got my dragged somewhere along the way . Suitcase mine . Hard old on the tires . So it , it's really tough to maneuver for the , the mile and a half to get to King Street Station again. But
